Noani (No Animal), a German company that built their business with a strong stance on responsible fashion. Creating vegan products was a no-brainer for them, but more than that was making them with the most environmentally friendly materials and respecting the people who craft their items by providing fair wages, good working conditions and keeping the manufacturing local to them in Europe. Another part of their mission is to create beautiful and modern pieces, not just any belt, but designs that can be worn with your favorite designer suit or jeans.

The idea for “Noani” started in 2014, it took more than 1.5 years until they finally found the right materials and manufacturers to make their vision of innovative, durable and naturally vegan produced accessories come true.

Keeping the manufacturing local helps Noani insure that no one is being taken advantage of during the manufacturing process and maintain high quality control. Many companies that produce lesser quality belts in underdeveloped countries with toxic materials simply care only about the bottom line and not the people making their product or the environment.

There is a high price to pay for cheap goods and this is why at allTRUEist we only partner with Designers that can see the "Big Picture", that want to make a difference and have the highest standards in creating responsible fashion.
Noani's belts are designed in Germany and manufactured in a small artisan shop in Italy.

Noani's collection of vegan belts is made from innovative materials, such as eucalyptus fibers, recycled polyester.

The eucalyptus fibers used are grown in sustainable forestry and a closed circuit without the use of genetic manipulation or pesticides. The eucalyptus fiber has an unrivaled strength profile and at the same time extremely low use of energy and water.

Production transparency and social responsibility towards the workers also plays an important role, from fiber production to delivery. All steps in the manufacturing process meet the social criteria based on the core standards of the International Labor Organization (ILO). The standards include for example free choice of employment, prohibition of child labor and the payment of minimum wages.

Polyester is widely used in the clothing industry, since the material is durable, resilient, wrinkle-resistant and easy to clean. In the production of Noani belts they use exclusively recycled polyester, as this consumes significantly less water and energy than normal polyester. In addition, of course, less waste is generated when polyester is re-used.

Innovation and sustainability at all levels - from the selection of raw materials to the working conditions of the people, who make their products every day.
Reasons Noani does not use real leather: In addition to animals being  kept under poor conditions and the cruelty involved, most leather products are tanned with toxic chromium in tanneries situated in low-wage countries. This does not only affect the production workers, but also the environment at a high level: The groundwater is extremely contaminated, and the risk of cancer is increasing enormously for the people who work in tanneries or live nearby.
The climate impact alone is staggering – meat and leather production is responsible for 18% of all manmade greenhouse gases in the world, with a single cow emitting 19.3 pounds/8.75kg of methane annually. Compare this to transportation, which only accounts for 13% of global greenhouse gas emissions.
